The ratio between the number of violations of the European Convention on Human Rights by Slovakia concerning the vulnerable groups and the number of violations of the European Convention of Human Rights by Slovakia concerning general population exceeds the benchmark and the status requires moderate improvement.
In 2021, there were 23 judgements concerning Slovakia, out of which in 22 judgements at least one violation was found. In eight applications, violations of human rights and fundamental freedoms concerned individuals belonging to vulnerable group. One application concerned violation of human rights and fundamental freedoms of three applicants of Roma ethnicity, one application concerned one violation of human rights and fundamental freedoms of one applicant of Macedonian citizenship and Slovak nationality, three applications concerned violation of human rights and fundamental freedoms of women who were over 61 years old and 3 applications concerned violation of human rights and fundamental freedoms of men who were over 61 years old.
